Each summer, Swim Lessons with Mary offers 1-on-1 swim lessons at your backyard or neighborhood pool for convenience, comfort, and swimming fun. Choose from our two travel lesson offerings below, designed to fit different locations, pool access, and preferences. Don’t see a fit?   • 02 / Overview

    Experience the value of SLWM's 1-1 swim lesson curriculum and trained instructors at the convenience of your own backyard or neighborhood pool!


    Students will learn the same techniques and self rescue to stroke skills at travel lessons as they will at our indoor locations.

  • 03 / Booking

    To help keep our summer schedule running smoothly, we prioritize “swim groups” — groups of 3 to 6 swimmers taking back-to-back private lessons at the same location. Grouping lessons in one spot helps us minimize travel time, stay on schedule, and serve more families. Swimmers can be any age/skill level, since they'll each get their own individual private lesson. While we do our best to accommodate 1–2 swimmer requests, organizing a group with friends or neighbors is the most reliable way to secure your preferred time and ensure we can reach as many swimmers as possible.  Please signup here for more info on these options and how signups will work, coming soon!

  • 04 / Investment

    Host Swimmer: $458 for 9 weeks of 1-1 lessons (host gets 1 lesson free for organizing!)


    Participant Swimmers: $515 for 9 weeks of 1-1  lessons

    This option is great for if you don't have acess to a backyard or neighborhood pool, if you live in Taylors or are beyond our travel lesson range.

FAQs

  • What do Travel Swim Lessons entail?

    Our 1-1 Travel Swim Lesson Service runs every summer.  This is our most fun and popular offering during the summer.  All lessons are 30 minutes of 1-1 time with your instructor and the same format as our indoor locations. These signups go quick, so sign up when they open if you are interested.   We cannot wait to swim with you!


    -Location: 

    Your home or neighborhood pool - our instructors will come to you! 


    NEW: If you don’t have a pool, or are not located in one of our travel areas, you can book a swim lessons at our outdoor location in Taylors (Pebble Creek Swim Club)

  • What do I need to bring?

    You can sit back and relax, your instructor will bring all the toys and equipment necessary for a great swim lesson experience.  


    We do request that you have your own goggles, towel and swim suit of course!  If your swimmer is not potty trained, please refer to our swim diaper policy in our FAQs.

  • What do you do in inclement weather?

    Our team monitors the weather carefully during summer travel lessons and will be in touch no more than 30 minutes in advance of your lesson in the event of a thunder reschedule.  We do this because the weather changes quickly and don't want to disrupt lessons unless absolutely necessary. 


    Your SLWM instructor will make the call if a thunder reschedule is necessary.  We only do this in the event of thunder and lightning.  Your lessons will take place if it is just raining - the kids love it and we're already in the water anyways.  Thunder and lightning cancellations are eligible for reschedules but no refunds. 


  • What is your cancellation policy?

    If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please do so in the portal at least 72 hours in advance.  Rescheduling is according to availability and is not guaranteed.   Please reach out to info@swimlessonswithmary.com if you need assistance.  


    Lessons cancelled 72 hours or less in advance will be considered 'late cancels' and are not eligible for refunds, makeups or reschedules.

  • What is your cancellation policy?

    Due to the tight logistics of our summer travel schedule, all lessons are booked in advance for the same day and time each week from May 26 through August 10, 2026.


    Each swimmer receives 9 private lessons over this 11-week period. You’ll select 1 week off for your family’s vacation, and your instructor will also have 1 scheduled week off. These are the only missed weeks built into the schedule.


    Because we carefully plan routes and availability across many locations, we’re unable to offer additional reschedules or makeup lessons outside of the two planned off-weeks.
