Starting today, May 1st, ALL of our Greenville swim lessons are moving just down the street to The Kroc Center (424 Westfield St)! 🙌
We’re thrilled about this new partnership that will bring an even better swim experience to our clients—with the same schedule, the same amazing instructors, and now a fantastic new facility!

At Swim Lessons with Mary, a clean pool is a happy pool—and that means a safer, more fun experience for everyone! That’s why we require the Happy Nappy Duo for all swimmers who aren’t fully potty trained. With its unique silver lining, it’s the only swim diaper that helps kill germs like E. Coli, COVID-19, and even Cryptosporidium, while giving the CDC-recommended 3–5 minute leak protection window.
Before each lesson, our instructors will kindly check that our littlest swimmers are suited up in their Happy Nappy Duo. 💧What got you into swimming? When I was younger, I kept having dreams about drowning. My mom took me to our pastor and we prayed over it. A year later, there was an incident and my sister started to drown. Not even really knowing how to swim, but knowing that I needed to save her, I was able to! My grandmother was able to perform CPR, and my sister is thankfully 18 years old today. This is why water safety is so important to me.
💧Why did you become a swim instructor? I want people to help people learn this survival skill. It’s very important.
💧What you love about teaching at SLWM? I love teaching and getting to help improve my clients’ lives. I love working with kids and getting to see them succeed. Their smiles and laughter bring me so much joy.
💧Fun fact about you! I absolutely love to travel. I have been traveling since I was 2!

Alex and I headed to Vegas in September for a long weekend to attend the US Swim School Association Conference. It was an exciting few days filled with hundreds of passionate, private swim school owners from around the world. Everyone came together to share best practices on swim instruction & technique, drowning prevention, operations and how to deliver the best swim lesson and experience to each of you. We are energized and excited to continue to grow our impact in the community and are all united around one important cause - to prevent drownings.
The days were jam packed with seminars, round tables and networking, but we did manage to squeeze in a few fun things along the way. We checked out the Sphere, lost the fastest $30 of our lives playing slots and got to see Cirque du Soleil before heading home on a red eye.
Grateful for the opportunity to learn from the best in the industry and excited to continue to grow and serve each of our swimmers better everyday.

Isla is an intermediate swimmer who has made a ton of progress in the last few months. She has overcome a fear of swimming and floating on her own.
