Meet Alex

AQUATICS COORDINATOR

Alex is originally from Hartland, Michigan, and relocated to Greenville in 2021. She attended the University of Kentucky, where she earned a degree in Psychology and competed as a member of the Women’s Swimming and Diving team throughout all four years. During college, Alex also volunteered as a coach for the local Special Olympics swim team.

Swimming has been a huge part of Alex’s life since she was three years old. While recovering from stage 3 cancer, Alex found a love for the water, as that was one of the only physical activities approved by doctors. She also taught her mother how to swim and played an important role in developing her younger brother’s swimming skills before he joined the U.S. Navy.

Outside of the pool, Alex is an avid animal lover. She has an English Cream Golden Retriever and a deaf rescue cat. In her free time, she trains for and competes in Half Ironman and Full Ironman races and enjoys supporting her husband as he competes in ultramarathon events.
